IPOD skipping to next track before song is complete

this only happens with long songs. i have some techno tracks that are an hour long, and the ipod keeps skipping to the next track after 10-15 minutes. the most recent example i have found actually skips to the next track at the exact same point in the song. so from there ive concluded it must be the mp3 file, not the ipod. is this common. does this just mean that this file is corrupt. if i fastforward through this section of the song though the ipod will play the remainder of the file uninterrupted. any comments appreciated?

Never had that happen with any songs/files on my iPod. I have a few audiobooks that run about an hour or so and none of them have ever done that. Must be the file.Jack at 2007-11-15 14:15:49 >

yeah its def the file. now its happened again with a short 5 minute song. is there any way to fix this file or is it corrupt/garbage.cjende at 2007-11-15 14:16:49 >

You have this happening on multiple files? If so, are your CDs damaged? How are you creating the files?Jack at 2007-11-15 14:17:47 >
