Power cutting out on new JVC Unit with Ipod

I broke down and bought a new JVC in dash cd player with the front aux jack and love it! The sound quality in my opinion is exactly that of a cd.

One problem though is that on certain songs if I have the volume too high the unit's power will just shut off for a second(the cdplayer, not the ipod), almost like a breaker is going off. I can acutally play regular cd's at a much much higher volume and it never does that. Wondering it is some type of internal protection to the unit from external sources that are plugged in. Its a little frustrating though, it's not like I'm playing it excessively loud or anything.

Has anyone else had this trouble?

Thanks,

Jeff

are you using a line-out? is the MP3's volume higher than the ones you ar elistening to.

I forget the term, but my old stereo receiver used to crap out a lot, didn't have enough power to pump the huge JBL's I had connected to it...your speakers may be draining too much from the auxillary input.
