how to get alarm to play music
Hi,
I have looked on the forum search but seems to be nothing for alarms.
I want to know how to set the alarm to play music.
I go into the clock and alarm sound and it says beep. I select it and it shows me my playlists.
I choose one and click select and it goes back to the previous menu with sound still showing beep.
Any ideas?
Thanks

It will still say beep after you select a playlist. Try to set off the alarm and see if the playlist plays. It's a known bug.

No, in fact the whole alarm did not seem to work.
I had it in the dock and it had turned off and the power was still on but it did not turn on with the alarm time.
all settings were correct, but no joy.
I will have another go sometime today, but anymore advice would be appreciated
thanks

It seems that the ipod will only play playlists that have been created by MMJB. As I am now using MC9, I think this is the problem. I am going to try with the on the go playlist to see if that works.

this is irrelevant, my 15gb ipod's alarm turned on by itself, and beeped 1:30 in the morning, killed a million of my precious brain cells, lol, and i do want just more than the stupid beep.
I still love my ipod

I get the same problem, try to select a playlist, it still reads beep, and then when it goes off it starts playing the first song on my ipod. My playlists are created by ephpod and I have a 30gig ipod running firmware 2.0.1.

Is everyone using playlists from either ephpod or MMJB. I believe these create playlists as.m3u. I am using MC9 and this creates playlist, but probably in a different way.
It is not a biggie, but I wanted music to wake up to.
