Two More Bugs: Dock and Pause

Hey guys,

I was very pleased with the 2.0.1 release which fixed most of the bugs I had. But I did find two sort of annoying bugs.

1. I often play one album walking to work and I set it up by selecting the first song on the album to play, but pause it before it gets a chance to buffer the song. This should pause it before it starts the song so tthat I don't miss the first part before I put on my headphones. However most of the time when I do it, it comes up with the pause sign and still says 0 seconds into the song, however it is playing in my headphones.

2. I have my dock set up near my stereo constantly plugged into my power plug and plugged into my stereo with a splitter. When the source on my amp is on the dock and my ipod is not in the dock, it makes a kind of electric pop sound every 2 seconds that sounds like a physics experiment, like a jacobs ladder.

I just wanted to know if anyone else noticed them.

I too have the second problem you stated. Its very strange and can only be fixed by unpluging the wire from the line out on the dock. dunno what to do about that. just thought i would letcha know you arnt the only one.

Yeah point 1. can be a tad annoying. Mainly because if you accidently press play twice, the track will play but the pause icon shows. If you don't sort that out, the iPod switches off after two mins because it doesn't "think" it's doing anything. It doesn't happen on Gen 2 pods but does on all Gen 3.

Haven't noticed point 2., I always have the dock plugged into my stereo with or without the pod in and have never had any interference.

... The first issue does happen on Gen 2 iPods. It is a bug that they apparently never fixed. If you press pause at the begining of a track, the track will continue to play, and when you unpause it, it will display the true time left in the song. Another pause bug is when you pause the track right when it has zero seconds left. It will cause Gen 2 iPods to freeze and require a reset.
