Happens a lot to me... I think if it's if you don't use it for a period of time, usually longer than 2-3 days.

Yeah, that happens to me, too. I don't think it's indicative that there's a problem.

Adamh You let your iPod out of your site and leave it unused for more than a few hours at a time?!?!

Adamh

After you see the apple logo, you need to press the play button.

That usually happns to me if i get back to my pod and its batt is drained. Did you still a few bars when you returned to your pod? From my experience, when i wake a drained pod from its sleep, it usually resets by itself, which usually explains the apple icon.

The battery is still at a full level. It's one of those strange bizzarre bugs in an almost flawless piece of electronics.!

I believe this is actually an enhancement they came out w/the 3gen iPods.

In the previous models, the iPod never shut down. It was always in "suspend" mode. Hence, no need to boot up (that's what's happening when the Apple logo is displayed).

In an effort to save battery life, they forced a complete shut down after a long time idle. So, the apple logo will come up as the iPod needs to boot up.

At least that's how I heard it somewhere...

I've had the same problem. All works great. Fully charged. The only issue is Audible forgets where I left off when "reading" an audio book.

I don't use my iPod too often. When I leave it for a few days it resets (with the Apple logo).

bsodmike,

If you're gonna use someone's name as a swear word, use your own, and not those belonging to founders of religions. :)

After seeing some of your other posts calling people's cars crap and stuff, it's funny to see that something as simple as one word offended you. :)

Oh, the irony! Not to mention James calling someone a Buddhist in a derogatory sense...

Before this gets ugly, let's steer the conversation back to about iPods.

Regardless of whether or not it offends JamesContrades, it also offends others, so let's keep the blaspheminig off the forums, ok?

And, I think we've made it clear that JamesContrades isn't the poster boy for politeness himself, so let's get the thread back on topic.
