Time Zone workaround?

I'm not sure how many people are aware of this, but there are some time zones that the iPod does not account for.
I'm in one of those time zones : Australia Central Standard Time. (Which both South Australia, and Northern Territory use). We're 30mins behind Sydney, Melbourne, etc.

Displaying the time isn't a problem, choosing a neighbouring zone shows the correct time - however - it screws up my calendars. The closest I can currently get my entries is 30mins either side of the time they're supposed to be.

Does anyone have a work around (apart from compensating in iCal - since I do look at my calendars there too), for this time zone problem?

really, this is a weak oversight by Apple. :(

living in adelaide i have exactly the same problem and would be very interested in a fix - it is really annoying.

i rang apple and all they could suggest was to download and install the latest updater - did that and it was a complete waste of bandwidth - or to set both the ipod and my computer to brisbane time zone... not a very satisfactory solution as far as i am concerned.

so... if anyone knows of a way around this i'd appreciate it - and i'm sure there are lots of other people around the world that have the same problem.
