New iPods sound is better!/ Q. about cases

I just bought my 10 iPod as a graduation present to myself, and I was told that is was the best MP3 player out there. I tried it, and it exceeded all of my expectations, except in the sound. It didn't have any bass whatsoever! I lived with that, untill yesterday, when I tried to listen to music after the iPod was in my pants pocket for most of the day. The touch-scroll-wheel didn't work, so I went to CompUSA (where I bought it) and got it replaced (I also purchased a 1 year warrenty). Since CompUSA offered the 10 gigs with a wired remote, I got my remote for a discounted price (about $15.00). I wanted to load my 'new' 'iPod with music, and listen to it again, and the sound was better, especially when I listened to rap music. Now , I am pleased with Apple products!

Also, I want a cheap case (about $20.00 US) to keep my iPod scratch free. I want it 'thin enough' to keep it in my pocket (to lessen my chances of it being stolen) but 'tough' enough to keep it in my bag and have it controlled via the remote.

I live in Hawaii, but I have some good experiences with online shopping, but I want to actually see/feel the case before I purchase it. But, if enough people have that particular case (with good reviews), then I'll get it online.

Thanks in advance!

If you want full access to the touch wheel and buttons, try the leather sleeve from incase. It looks a lot like Apple's case, but lets you control the iPod from the case. It's sold at the Apple Store if you live around one (The one I frequent is in the Mall of America in Minnesota).
