Gutted and inpatient
Got my new 3rd gen 30gb iPod today, spent the past three days ripping a fraction of my music cd's. Plugged in the ipod to my supposed firewire port, nothing!!! Spend three hours trying to figure ou what was wrong, phoning helplines (not premium rate ones thank god) to find out the firewire port on the front of my PC was not connected and just a part of the case. The parkard bell case apparently is one used for various models and mine didn't have it connected.
I now have to wait till 2 moro to fit a firewire card to my other pc.
One more thing, the new iPod is so sweet its so small I want to use it now but can't till 2 moro.

Let me get this straight...someone sold you a computer with dummy firewire port? Oy, that's weak. Would've driven me nuts.
So, they're letting in-patients get iPods now? ;o)

This is a bit OT, but is it not easier to just say 'tomorrow' in stead of 2 moro?
:D

Go figure Packard Bell would do something like that. There's a reason why they went out of business in America, they are the worst. Buy a new PC.

It's how the very young and immature talk, now, old boy. Even in Wolverhampton. It's the pervasive effect of US culture - note he also calls it 'sweet' in the US (not Brit) sense.
I'm more worried that he's an in-patient at the Wolverhampton General, rather than simply being impatient......
I'm just teasing..... Hope you enjoy it when you have your FW sorted out, youngster!
