For the iPod, it does not matter, as long as the IDv2 tags are ok.

It depend how you want to catalogize your music on your computer.

When I rip CDs with CDex, I make it create a folder for the artists, then for the CD name.

I keep most of my ripped CDs on the computer, so I like it when everything is as clean as possible. Makes life easier to find something.

Max.

there is a big difference between the codex. I use the new lame codec, which gives the best result for listening.
some friend told me that the audiograbber can connect to the cddb-Database, which includes the ID-Tags and other information to each song.
Perhaps you give it a try.

Myself I use the genre to sort my music on the ipod. E.g. there is a Genre called Relaxing or one with Rock and so on.
So I find quite quickly my right music!

smerko,

Your question would be easier to answer if you posted in the apporpriate forum , i.e. the "Software" forum of either the Windows or Mac sections of the site. Accordingly, I'm locking this thread.
