This happend the other night.

My iPod screen (G3 15GB) went really really blue, almost like on the box. This was after I had transfered some songs to it. It was very hot as well is the screen colour effected by heat at all?

Yup, all LCDs are affected by heat (they turn darker).

Where you transferring to it whilst it was in the case?? It shouldn't get all that hot.

Had you unmounted it? If it was flashing "Do Not Disconnect" then it was still mounted and your PC would have been accessing the drive every second or so, causing heat build up.

If it was unmounted (i.e. no "Do Not Disconnect" but showing the Charging icon), I don't know what to tell you...that's not a good sign.

Well, keep and eye on it. It shouldn't be heating up when it's just charging..at least not appreciably.
