Which format to choose
Just got my new 3G ipod today (my first ipod).
I have a pc at home (Win XP) and a mac (OSX) in the office.
My question is which format I should choose. Since I will be playing with my ipod at home most of the time, I would like to be able to use most of the functions from my pc. But I would also like to use itunes to manage my music collections.
Is there anybody in the same situation?
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
:D

I recently got a Mac a few weeks ago. iTunes is great software, but I love the EphPod interface; I personally think it is easier to manage my music on. So I use my PC. You have to look at what you value more, because the Mac does have its advantages (such as smart playlists). Good luck in making a wise decision.

I'd look at this in terms of where are you going to be ripping your music and storing the MP3s/AAC files? If you're going to do them on the pc, then I'd format FAT32. If you're going to do it on the Mac, then HFS+.....

Thanks for the reply.
Can I rip some CD to AAC files and then store them on my PC (using EphPod to manage them)? If so, I may format it to FAT32.
Thanks.
