Static Pop on new iPods isnt static

Hi.
I just got my new iPod today (15Gig) and when I first heard the "static pop" I realised that it isn't static or anything to do with hardware, it's the headphones powering down for a short period of time.

I don't know how many of you use connect you PC to a home stereo but switch your PC off while leaving the speakers attached - you get the same pop when the line goes dead.

That pleased me, it's not that bad. I had mine for 3hrs, played three songs and it crashed :( I did notice that I was trying to fast-forward a song using >>| button...

sometimes it's not so much a crash as it is a freeze, seems to be a big problem with the new ipod's current mp3->hard disk loading algorithm.

the next time it "hangs" you might want to try waiting for half a minute before trying to reset it to see if the loading finishes...
