15gb froze on me!

My ipod froze on me for the first time. I had the ipod in my bag (w/ hold on) and was using the remote (hold was off). I was pressing play and nothing happened. Took out the ipod and looked at the screen...pressed play again...no go. It was on pause...kept pressing remote play and it would not start up. I had to switch hold off on the ipod and then press play from on the unit. It played but was still showing the pause sign. Paused it and then play and everything was normal.

Anybody else had that problem. Quite bizarre.

From what you described you were trying to push buttons on the iPod with the Hold button activated. Well, of course nothing would happen with it activated, that's its purpose.

Unless you mean hold was "off" (i.e. not in the Hold position).

Argh, this is making my brain hurt. Just do a reset, all should be well. These things do crash from time to time, they are miny computers after all. ;)

The hold was activated on the iPod...and NOT activated on the remote. I was using the remote and nothing was working. I had to press play on the iPod before everything started working again.

I any case...no big deal...just trying to share the freezing experience. And basically my point...yes these things will freeze from time to time. Reset good. ;) ...just like a computer freezing...all is well with a reboot (well, almost everythime).
