Im want to get an IPOD. Im not sure if i should buy one now and hope apple sort out the problems or wait until early July?

It depends on how much you value the problems. I haven't had ANY problems with my 15GB. Problems quoted on the board such as freezing and needing resetting seem to be isolated cases of defective units. If there was a genuine firmware problem then these boards would be swamped with 1000's of people complaining.Unless you're getting one online or through mailorder these problems shouldn't matter as you can take the dud back and get a new one surely?

How bad do you want one? This is really your call. I doubt anyone would know when apple will launch any new one or sorting thru the current problems... actually its not too bad if you read thru some of the guys comments. They all seem to be minors and fixable.
You should play one at the apple store or compusa to see if you like it.

Based on what I know, I'd say just get one now. The problems look like they're mostly due to firmware. If this is the case, then the ipod won't physically change in production, so there'd be no point in waiting unless you want to wait or want to get better prices from dell.comPhil at 2007-11-15 14:20:32 >

Dell sells the ipod, and once in a while they have 10-15% off coupons and other coupons you can add to that. So you might be able to get a 30GB ipod for like $430 when these deals/coupons appear while waiting until July.Phil at 2007-11-15 14:22:25 >
