iPod does not care about grouped directories.
So, in short, F00 to F19 will HAVE to be random. Hope you understand that. :)

Load up ephpod. Im using 2.60f.
Go To Extras ( top of page ), Configuration.
Then browse to advanced options.
It'll say write music directories from f00 to f...
make sure the box with F, had nothing in it. This way it'll put all the songs into f00. They will all be grouped into same folder.
If you want the songs to be shuffled properly. Simply put number 19. All Songs will be random and dispursed amongst the 20 folders.
Hope this helped :)

No, don't do that. You need to keep the songs in F00 through F19. Otherwise you'll run into the skipping song problem. This is a problem where the iPod will start to play a song, and then just skip over it. I will show on the screen, but will never play.
The reason for the songs in those folders is to improve the seek time. All songs in one folder makes the iPod have to search through ALL your songs just to find the correct one to play. When they are grouped into the F00-F19 folders there are fewer songs to search for in each folder.
Joe (the creator of ephpod) never should have put that feature in there. It wasn't understood at the time he created the software what the purpose of those folders was.
There's no way today to group the tunes. I'm curious as to why you want them grouped?
