Does anyone else have this problem...

My new 30gb iPod is a little strange.. as are many things in my life. I turn my iPod off and flip the hold switch to hold. When I flip the hold switch off of hold, the screen backlight comes on but the screen stays blank indefinitely until I hit a button (not the wheel). Shouldn't it turn all the way on?

This doesn't happen when simply turning it off and then touching any button to turn it back on. The screen comes up fine.

Another problem (and I don't think they are related, but could be) is the buttons seem to freeze and none of them will respond. I know I have dry hands and I think I heard that can be a problem, but even when I lick my finger tips (ya, gross) they don't respond. it takes about 10 seconds and then they will work, but this is annoying. Any Ideas? :confused:
