Sort by date added

Does anyone know how I can sort songs by added date? This is how I list my songs using iTunes and can't do the same with my iPod, quite disappointed...
Sometimes I just like to listen to newly imported songs.
Help help! :confused:

There's "Recent Additions" in the Playlist menu...

for some reason, the iPod doesn't update with some of my iTunes smart playlists that were created to be sorted according to date added
