If the mini cooper s (you lucky sucker) has a line in on the radio (i know the honda element does) then you can hook the ipod directly to the mini cooper s. By the way what color is it? Does it haul balls?

They are a very fine machine. I am considering purchasing a Mini cooper or the new Convertable Beetle...

I am currently driving a Pontiac Vibe .. : )

So getting back on track...
You can only directly hook the iPod into the car if you have an input in the sterio. You will most likely have to check this, but FYI most cars do not come with audio inputs.

If your mini cooper has the Harman Kardan System then it has an Auxillary in. So, you can hook your iPOD to it!

Update: Your mini coopers stereo has an auxillary in which is standard, therefore plug in/turn on/peel out!

I remember seeing something about the iPod and mini cooper on the old forum.. it may be worth searching there. I think it said it either has an auxiliary input as well as a CD changer one, or you could just use the CD changer one (providing you dont have a CD changer of course!)

The topic had a link to a website that sold the adapter as well.

Hope this helps

I have a MCS as well and and iPod and so do a lot these people and this is what they did:

MINI2.com : Aux - How To (http://mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26725)

This is the main page:

http://mini.thepilo.com/aux

The thread is long but worth reading into it to get an idea of peoples results. Most did ok, some (very few) got a problem here or there but my guess is that it was from the lack of something or something done not entirely right.

I haven't done it (yet), but will soon enough.

G'luck.

.H?ctor.
