UK Apple Stores??

Just a quick question for you UK iPodders. I have a friend in Worcester who's considering an iPod but wants to play around with one in a store and I was wondering if there's an Apple store in London, Manchester, or Birmingham for her to check out. I looked around in Apple's UK site and couldn't find mention of any but I'm sure they have at least one. I found a pair of reseller stores in Birmingham for her to check out but I don't know if they have an iPod on display or not. Can anyone give me a hand? I would greatly appreciate it. :)

there are no Apple stores in the UK. None. However to play with a iPod head to John Lewis or PC World, they have 10Gig demonstration models available.

John Lewis Brent Cross were pretty good about demoing. Prices are as good as any on the web. She should be able to find a local John Lewis and certainly in any of the big cities.

i got mine from www.johnlewis.com.
next day delivery, delivered to my place of work, and with a 28 day no questions ask returns policy.

Top service.

If u wanna see one in the flesh, take a trip to pcworld, but expect to only see the demo version as all stores are out of stock.

(the demo i saw was of the 2nd gen, but you getthe idea)

There's another place near there who are like, a 3rd party Apple Store. They sell everything Apple's site does. I can't remember the name of it though.

Well, when I walked past the Apple Store in the Broadmarsh Centre, Nottingham this morning, it must have been a mirage? ;)

Seriously though. If there's a John Lewis near your Friend, they should be able to help.
