Need World Travel Adaptor Kit

Hi all,

I am going on my hols soon :) and I was wondering whether anyone knows whether I can just use standard plug adapters to plug my UK power adapter into an Italian plug, or whether I would need to buy the World Travel Adaptor Kit from the apple store?
I can't see any reason why I couldn't just use my standard travel adapter and plug this in providing the current is the same.

Any help on this very much appreciated!

Just use your standard adapters. The Apple ones, are nice, as they blend into the ac adapter, but are not required - the adapter will handle voltage from 100-240 volts. I've been doing it all over Europe with my US-spec model, with no probs.

Yeah, they do the same thing... i went to Switzerland, France, and Germany, and I used one plug that changes to the two holes, and it worked perfectly... I was afraid that it would blow my iPod, but then I realized that people in Europe have the same kind of iPod's, and the charger is good for 120-240 volts like cjett said

Thanks guys, that's put my mind at ease :) Guess it makes a lot of sense that everyone in europe would have the same adapter; although mine came with the british 3 pins and I assume the rest of europe get a 2 pin plug. Good to know that they cope with the range of voltages though.

I can now go and enjoy the wonder of my iPod in the sun :)
