Recording with iPod??

Has there been any word on extending the record time on the iPod?
its one feature I've been waiting for. As a student it would come in Very handy for lectures. I've pulled out my iBook in the past but thats a bit cumbersome at times...

The secret option to record was REMOVED in the 2.0.1 update. Just wait, perhaps his Steveness will tell us about it today?
