Do those EQs work on the new iPod?
I've changed the setting a number of times while playing songs but notice no difference. I didn;t think I was tone deaf but ...
Anyone else noticed this or is it just me, my iPod and ears.

I tend to leave the EQ off - I don't think the 'onbard' equaliser is that good really.

Yep, the EQ is a complete waste of time.
I set mine to Classical, because it just gives a fraction more bass out of my Sony 'phones.
Most of the EQ setting offer only light dB adjustments, because of the way Apple choose to implement the EQ in the decoder part of the pre-amp phase. Which is the worst way Apple could have implemented the EQ, but it is also the cheapest way of doing it!

Thanks for the input guys. I;m not really one to use EQ anyway, play it as it was intended to sound ;-)
Just want to make sure the pod is working as advertised.
