Connecting iPod dock to a Hi-Fi (help!)
I'm waiting for my new 15 GB to be delivered (UK), they say next week sometime, outrage!
Anyway, I was wondering how can I connect an iPod dock to a Sony micro system with MD IN, Optical Out, Line out (with two plugs, white and red)?
See I want to use the alarm clock feature and sleep timer and was hoping it'd just connect to a stereo easily, my iMac has the Soundsticks and being USB I obviously can't use them.

Just get yourself a cable that has the red/white RCA plugs on one end and the male "headphone" jack on the other end. Run this from your iPod (dock or headphones, depends on how you want to do it) to your stereo. Easy stuff.
I don't know what you have there in the UK, but if you lived in my town, I'd send you down to the Radio Shack for the cable you need.

Thanks for your quick response. Just wondering, does MD in mean mini disc? Or is it anything which has those connectors? Tom.
