Old to New ipod

I have the old iPod. How can I copy all my existing tracks from the old ipod to the new one?
I do not have copies of the files on my PC.

Use EphPod to copy all of your files back to your PC, then resync them to your new iPod. In general, it's safer to keep a copy of all your music on your PC. I mean, losing your iPod would suck enough as it is, but imagine if you lost your whole mp3 collection to?!?! I would fall over and die.

Thanks tonicboy. I use Xplay. Can anything be done with that?

Yes. Stop using it :D. Seriously though, EphPod is free so you can use it to at least transfer your music back to your computer. I would imagine XPlay has a similar function, no?

Er, you can do the same in Xplay. Just drag the songs from the Xplay window to a folder on your PC. They'll be downloaded into Artist/Album folders and renamed nicely.

It's actually better than ephpod.

I just see it creates shortcuts, not actual files.
