2.0.1 and Downloaded Music Playback

Granted, 90 percent of the songs on my 30gig iPod were ripped from CDs, there were some songs that had been downloaded.

I've read that some of the improvements in the firmware update including better support for VBR encoded files.

I've noticed something else since downloading the update. Files that used to stop playing in mid-song (because they were corrupt or whatever), now will play all the way through like on earlier iPods and like when playing them on the computer.

However, I noticed when it reaches the point in the song where it used to stop playing, it now will "skip" and insert a tiny pause while it continues to play the file.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm just glad these couple of files play all the way through now. And the On-The-Go update is pretty good too. Hopefully it fixed some other "annoyances" of mine.
