Header on the Ipod

So i got an 3rd Generation 30Gb iPod 1 for myself and 1 for my dad. So at the very top of of the screen of iPod it says, iPod, I was wondering if you can change this, and if so, how??

I don't know about the default header screen but I know it is possible to change the header in the About screen. I did it by right clicking the drive in the My Computer window in Windows ME and changing the name. I changed it to My first Initial and then followed by my last name. I believe the limit in characters is around 10 or so.

you can't change the header but you can go into clock settings and choose to have the time displayed there instead of just "iPod"

oh yeah, forgot about that too. So, you have two options,

1. Set the time to display on the header screen so it switches between iPod and "time"
2. While you are on your computer right click the iPod when its shown up as a hard drive and change the volume name to what you want, but its limited to a certain amount of letters and numbers. Then it will be displayed when you go to the ABOUT screen. The letters are all going to be displayed in Capital.
