Suggestion on charging?

I heard that people suggest that it is better to charge the IPod for 24 hrs before the first time using it, is it true?? :confused: :confused:

No there's no need for that. Check out the Battery FAQ ( http://www.ipodlounge.com/faqs_more.php?id=103_0_10_0_C). Also, a search of the forums would have found you a ton of Battery threads.And welcome to the 'lounge. ;)

Not true. That's a methodology more useful with Nickel Metal Hydride and Nickel Cadmium. It's a process of "forming" or essentially creating a baseline charge. Lithium Ion doesn't need a form charge. Just put it on the AC adaptor/firewire cable combo and let it sit for 4 or so hours and it'll be fine.clintb at 2007-11-15 14:18:57 >
