OK, so i bought this ipod used from ebay, and for some reason, the screen randomly shuts off, every other function still works, but the screen is blank. Resetting temporarily fixes it, and now and then it will work fine, but when i shut it off, and then turn it back on again, it'll give me another 10 seconds to search around,t hen the screen will shut off again. It's almost like every time i turn it on there is a random chance it will work. Does anyone know what's going on? it does it regardless of the charge state, and will still play music with the screen off. I'm running it on windows xp, converted from mac format, but i don't think that has anything to do with it.
It's the original 5gb model, no warranty remaining.
I tried restoring it, but that didn't help.
