Generation 3 Games?

Hello, :)

Does anyone know if the new games will work on the Generation 2 ipod's? Can anyone make them work on the generation 2 ipod's? Will the V. 2.0 if someone worked on it for a while work on the Generation 2 ipod's??

Thanks,

Kayle

No, they won't.

Apple could, I suppose.

If Apple chose to do it, yes.

Wow. A donor iPod to be used for Frankenstein-ish experiments. Kinda give you the shivers, doesn't it?

Yes, please do let us know what happens, Impulse29.

To be honest, I'll be very, very, VERY surprised if it works!

I'm willing to bet that Apple put a simple hardware check in, such that you will get the "folder w/ exclamation mark" icon (i.e., invalid firmware).

if you do want to try and get the games on your ipod (or basically anything else you deem necessary), head over to http://ipodlinux.sourceforge.net/index.shtml . All you need is the 1.2x OS and a linux computer (can be dual booted very well). This seems like a cool thing, though ive yet to get it to work (my ipod/firewire card will not seem to work with linux :( )
