Newbie Question: First Charge
Quick question: I'm getting my 20GB v2 today. Someone on apple.com said I should let it charge for 3 hours without touching it. Is that accurate? I want a second opinion. Should I charge it for longer? Can I plug it in and start using it while it's charging? Does it matter if I do the first charge over firewire or the AC?

I would charge it for the first time via AC adaptor, and the 3 hours is the recommended charge time for a full charge.
iPods can be charged to 80% battery capacity as a quick charge over a short period, but this is really only an 'top-up' boost should you need to use your iPod and the battery is nearly drained.
You can listen to the iPod while it is charging, but I sense you will be wanting to load it with your tunes, so I would say let it alone to charge for the first time and find something else to do for 3 hours!
