I tried enabling it, but I don't think it made a difference?

What does the "sound check" option do in the iPod settings menu? (my winpod has the 1.2.6 firmware).

the sound check doesn?t do anything on winpods. on macpods it?s a volume normalisation setting. if you want to normalise your mp3?s on your pc, try mp3gain.m.r.m. at 2007-11-15 14:17:36 >

Because there's no difference between the MiPod and the WiPod firmware...Well there are a couple of things (disabling playcounts) but the main guts of the firmware is the same....
