People with the 3Gen Belkin charger...

Am I the only one who thinks that the audio quality of the line out is horrible? I have to keep the volume control on the charger almost all the way down and still it seems like a lot of high frequencies are cut. Do I need a new charger?

Actually, I've noticed I'm hearing all sorts of bits in my music I never heard before - usually higher frequencies. I'm no expert, but my guess is there's something wrong either with your charger or with your connection to your stereo.

I'm not very familiar with ground loops, but my understanding is that they can cause buzzing, but that's not really what you're describing.

Good luck!

That's a good call though. I'll try plugging into the other power outlet in my armrest.

The sound is actually fine when I plug directly into the iPod headphone jack. Hmmmmmm...

That's interesting. The only thing I've noticed with my Belkin adapter in my VW was some high-frequency noise. There's the same noise in my new Evo but I don't think it's as noticeable. Probably the difference between the crap Monsoon speakers in the VW and the superior stock speakers in the Evo!
