1st sighting of iTrip for 3G iPod

What's this shizzz all about?

I just sent him an email asking him if he actually had this in his possesion or if it was being shipped by the manufacturer.

There is a picture of it right on the ebay page...

Well, I got email from the seller. He claims to have it in his posession.

I just got an email from Griffin...They said shipping in 1 or 2 weeks.

Here's the email from the ebay guy:

"Hi,

A bunch of people have been emailing me, asking this.
I posted the story on the ebay page. It says:

"Some people have emailed me asking how I have an iTrip for
a 3G iPod if it hasn't been relased yet. I have the iTrip
in my possesion, here is the story: I pre-ordered the iTrip
for my 3G iPod a long time ago. I finally got tired of
waiting and decided to get a new car stereo and just connect
my iPod to it directly. I emailed and canceled my order for
the iTrip. Griffin Technology emailed back and said "if we
ship out the iTrip today, do you want to keep the order"?
I said ok, and they shipped it to me. The new car stereo
arrived, and I really like it, so I decided to keep that
and sell the iTrip. The 3G iTrip has not technically been
released yet, but the box was shrink wrapped and brand new.
I opened it and tried it out and it works fine. I don't know
why the manufacturer has not released it yet."

When I got it, it looked like the product was release-ready
(sealed in brand new box, worked fine), so I don't know
why the manufacturer is not releasing it yet. Maybe they
just don't have enought made yet. Maybe they can get away
with sending one to me by calling it a beta-release or
something (although they didn't call what they sent me a
beta) rather than lose business when people want to cancel
their orders.

I can't really say, but the iTrip I have definitely works
with the 3G iPod and is a nice product. Thanks,
