3G Transpod FM

I was paging through the latest MacAddict magazine at my local bookstore, and was surprised to see an ad from everythingipod.com featuring a large, detailed picture of the 3G Transpod FM. I must say, it looked like an amazing product.

First thing to note is that it looks NOTHING like this.
http://www.welovemacs.com/transpod2.html

It is much sleeker, thinner, etc-- following the iPod's contours...
mounts to the docking port only...
and...
HAS A DIGITAL TUNER WITH LCD "CURRENT STATION" DISPLAY (maybe it was LED... can't remember) .

Can't wait for some more official info-- everythingipod.com itself doesn't have it on their website yet, and a google search turned up nothing.

Go pick up a magazine!!!

azdude_15GB,

Looks like a 3G iPod was photoshoped on an 2G Transpod. Attached is a copy of the ad you were mentioning. Hopefully, DLO will release it by the end of September so I can purchase it with my B-day money.

Right now I'm using an iRock transmitter and Radio Shack's air vent mount. The thing I like about the Transpod is it is 3 accessories (charger, holder, and transmitter) in one. I thought they weren't going to make one for the 3G. I was going to buy the iTrip and a charger for my truck, but I'll hold off until the TP3 comes out. Would be cool if you can dock the iPod with the Jam Jacket/iSkin on.

Thanks for the heads up.

Cool! Now, if it just included a line-out that bypasses the transmitter, it would be PERFECT! I could use the line-out in my own car, but the transmitter in rentals on business trips.
