Adding an aux in to a Kenwood cd player

hey there... I love this site! Does anyone know how to modify a Kenwood KDC-217 CD player to accept an aux in for my 2nd gen ipod? the waiting for the itrip is frustrating, and I just know that I'm not gonna like the quality...

Is it even possible? I'd really appreciate any response from you technical people out there...

thanks.. max

Kenwood units pretty much all have a cd changer input. Go to http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-oike0gxlBvm/ProdView.asp?s=0&cc=01&c=11&g=50900&I=113CAC1AX+

Your headunit is probably supported by it

thanks for the advice, but I have a standalone player, not a changer... I'm not sure it applies, but I will look into it...

You dont need a cd changer, but your headunit needs to have a cd changer input

I really appreciate it... actually just got a cd receiver online at ebay for 40 bucks, has aux in... hope this wasn't another mistake.
