New Speakers for my car...??

HI,

i am getting my car next week, and I wanted to put some better speakers in it. I have a '91 accord, and I wanted to spend like $100-$150 on some new speakers. I am completely ignorant when it comes to this stuff, so any and all help will be appreciated. If you know of any places and models of speakers, can you tell me whether i should have them installed and where?
Thanks for the help,

Rob

p.s: I have the iPod hooked up in my car with the cassette adapter...

First of all, is the goal to pay $100-150 for four speakers or two? Are you replacing the front speakers or the back ones? That will affect what size you buy.

Second, if you're using a casette adapter and the factory stereo in your car, a new deck (perhaps with a line-in) would make a bigger improvement than speakers. The deck in your Accord (I know, we've had a couple) just won't have enough power to push your speakers to sound any better than the factory ones.

Beyond that, give me a better idea of what you're looking for and I'll give you a recommendation. FYI, the back speakers are relatively easy to replace in the Accord if you've not done it before, whiel the front speakers are more difficult.
