I want this (http://www.engineeredaudio.com/products/remote.html) and more remotes like it. Must be RF and not IR so I can keep my iPod in my bag!
Face plates
Ive already put too many scratches on my 3G ipod! I know you can pry these things apart. I want to replace the casing for the 3G iPods. Colors, Clear, Designs, Metal, Carbon fiber! I want it! (Good hard plastic too, not like those cheap plastic Nokia faceplates)
LINE OUT CABLE
I know theres a dock. But the case i have (iSkin) won't let me put it in a dock and I don't really care for the dock. I want a simple cable that converts the docking port to the line out and Firewire port (So I can charge the thing using the included power adaptor) Similar to this (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=201526&pcount=&Product_Id=149006) but w/o the cigarette adaptor.
Custom Volume Control via iPod
I have a fewsongs that are too quite or too loud. But they all sound good on my mac. I want to be able to adjust the set volume for each song via iPod (like giving a rating to each song)
And for the 4G iPods!

External display port
For killer 3rd party wired remotes, car and home audio setups. Having the ability to show the iPod's gui on my car's dashboard or big screen TV would be a wet dream! even if it were just one line of text scrolling like sony MD wired remotes.

The remote's cool. I think it should be sttandard a wireless remote. Or even better, using your thoughts will control the iPod. Cool.
It might happen, but in atleast 10years

I want your Wireless Remote and Line Out Cable combined into a single item, with a permanent plug in place of the firewire. This would be the ultimate charging-at-the-stereo solution.

Here's where I can help a bit. There's a hugely-long thread (328 posts and counting) on the Apple support board (http://discussions.info.apple.com/WebX?14@205.woara8iHcwY.0@.f02116d) regarding this issue. Apparantly there's a bug in the calculations for the iPod sound correction. A guy wrote a script to fix the volumes on your iPod as long as you do manual updating. He won't post it anywhere, but leave your email address in the thread and you will get a copy in a couple of days.

You can do this already. Instead of plugging your firewire (or USB) cable into the dock, just plug it directly into your ipod.
