Frustrations with search features

I am sure this has been discussed before and my guesses are that the search features are they way they were for some good reason but I want to express my dissatisfaction with the 4 character minimum...

I am sure there are special ways to search by using specail characters but who has time to figure that out...

thank you..

"The search term you specified (jam) is under the minimum word length (4) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.
If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific.

Sorry you had do some hoop jumping to find out about the use of ** characters in the search feature.
It has actually been mentioned before in the Feedback section, and answered, so a quick look through the 3 pages probably answered your query?

And thanks for the "Good Job" ;)
