The search on this site SUCKS!
Everytime I try to avoid posting a question that has already been asked I can't work with the stupid search engine. What is with the 4 letter minimum? That makes NO sense whatsoever! How on earth am I supposed to search for EAC. No one actually writes out Exact Audio Copy every time. What about "rip" or "tag?"
Please fix this, it is really annoying. I'm about to just give up and ask stupid questions each time I come up with one regardless of whether or not it has been asked a thousand times.
By the way, the question I want to ask is:
Is there a way to rip an entire CD as one song? I don't want to include the track number in the tag because that just gets long and annoying. Also, I'm using EAC and LAME. Now you see why the search engine didn't work?

It wouldn't be like that for no reason.
If you searched for "EAC", then you'd get every post which contained the word "each" "beach" "teach" etc. Sometimes these things have rules which, while annoying, are actually there for a reason.
What is your problem regarding Exact Audio Copy anyway? Perhaps asking us for advice would be a better step than moaning.
Hope that doesn't sound patronising, I don't intend it to - please don't take it as such.

You can also do searches less than 4 characters by adding wildcards (e.g. "*EAC*", no quotes).
And mike is right, there are 2 main reasons: 1) the one he mentioned and 2) the indexing would take up way too much space if you indexed all works <= 4 letters.

To answer your question: Yes within EAC you can rip the whole CD as one .wav file with a cue sheet. Then just convert the wav file to MP3. It's the IMG button on the left side of EAC's GUI.
