Forum Clock is Off

The iPodlounge forums' clock is off by about 107 minutes for me. I have set the correct time zone and all, and the forum seems to be about 107 minutes (1 hour and 47 minutes) ahead.

Hmmm. That's odd, vkeks05.

By your location of "PA", I assume that is Pennsylvania. I am in Georgia, also in the Eastern time zone.

In my User Options, I have "Time Zone Offset (hours)" set to -7. And the forum time is almost dead on for me. E.g., I am posting this at 12:32 AM EDT...

EDIT: And the time displayed by my post is 12:30 AM.

- 7 hours from GMT is Mountain Time! Eastern Time is -5 hours. The clock is two hours off.

That wasn't my point, John. :)

My point was that you are able to get the forum time accurate for you by changing "Time Zone Offset (hours)".

What didn't make any sense was that the forum time appeared to be off in increments less than full hours to vkeks05 (in this case, 47 minutes).

As long as the forum time is correct in regards to the minutes, you can change the "Time Zone Offset (hours)" setting on your User profile to make the forum time display properly for you.

I don't care if it is set to MDT or EDT or whatever, just as long as it displays correctly.

Oh, and BTW, to be accurate, with Daylight Savings Time in effect, GMT - 7 hours is PDT, not MDT. ;) EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) is GMT - 4 hours. So, technically, the forum time is off from GMT by three hours, not two!

OK, I've now set it to -7:00 hours behind GMT...
It shouldn't be like this but oh well... :p
