I have yet to crack open the ones that came with the iPod.

I have one set of Sony Fontopia buds that I like alot. They are comfortable and I can fall asleep with them one and not pierce my brain.

I also came across a set of the neatest looking earphones while on a business trip to Scottsdale...Bang & Olufsen makes a set out of billet aluminum. Adjustable eighty ways from Sunday. But they are the type like the iPod buds that sit on the ear canal not in the canal like the Sony's.

I think there is a dramatic loss of base with these. I bought the B&O's just 'cause they look great, but I think the Sony's have better sound. Strange for B&O
