OK - obeying your demand! :D

both sound good to me. ive used the ex-70's more, so sound maybe a tiny bit better. also, the cord is more flexible, so i tend to use it more as the point where the ex71s join the extension to the headphones gets on my nerves.

I use them for commuting to work on the tube, so they mainly win points for cutting out outside noise, and for not getting me beaten up for broadcasting anything i listen to! - the actual sound quality may upset some audiophiles, but for me, and the purposes i use them for, theyre greeeeeeeeeeeat!!

ooooh you are scary ! I don't know if my ten cents worth is going to help as I don't actually own a pair just yet. But I am waiting for a pair from Bluetin which are on their way. I could'nt decide on the EX70 or Ex71's but on their website they say they are exactly the same only the EX71's have had a "cosmetic update" and the little chrome bit on the back looks different. I can't wait to get mine and hope they are good as I have read real love or hate reviews.

I own both, and use neither much, except when I know I'll be using public transport, or in bed when I don't want to wake Mrs Jacko.

Both have almost identical specs, and both are equally crap. Sony E888s, Sennheiser 400s, even Philips 590s are much, much better.

Strangely, the two sound very different to me. The EX70 sounds muddy, congested and generally crappy. The EX71 sounds distant, shrill and generally crappy.

OK, maybe not that different :D

Jackonicko are those Phillips comfy ? I ordered the Ex71's after much debate but have read so many love or hate reviews about them (I know you personally don't go in for them) that I thought I'd try em anyway. The Phillips are really cheap here too so I think I'll get a pair and try them too and they should get here before the sony's so it will give me something to compare.

hmmm, i actually have senn 500 but they do not fit well due to their ergonomics. 888's appear good, although i do not know where i can buy some from uk. do you?

thank you once again honourable repliers, i will spare you my wroth.
also bluetin man, tell me if 71's arrive or not.

sezchwarn - from bluetin maiden not man. Mine arrived today EX71's and I have to say that they are great. They took a while to get here but that is probably because I took the cheapest shipping option $4 but I was in no hurry. The bonus is they pack em to avoid any duities. So expect about 10 days if you pick cheap shipping.
