Best headphones/earbuds at a retailer?

Hello-
What are the best sounding headphones/earbuds I can get at a retailer such as Best Buy, CompUSA, Circuit City, etc?
I really have no clue as to what's good in the headphone/earbud world, so I don't know where to start.
Thanks.

You could have a look at my evaluation of some headphones on my iPod:

There are also links refering to other headphone tests.

I use KOSS Porta Pro. Really excellent headphones.

The vast majority of headphones at typical retail outlets are crap. I agree with ljuglampa; koss is probably your best bet. However, I would strongly suggest that you not limit yourself to typical retail.

What are the best earbuds available online? I have a $200 spending limit. ;)

While not quite earbuds, but more like canalphones, the Shure E2/E2c are a good bet. Check them out here

and here

BTW, msrp is $100, street price can be as low as $80.
