Are my EX71s defective?
Hey, I just received my Sony EX71s from audiocubes.com and I have a couple of problems with them.
First off, is there supposed to be an "idling" sound when the volume is low? Even when music is playing, I have this ticking that continues and it's pretty annoying.
Secondly, the included extension cord only produces sound out of the left earbud. When I bypas the cord and plug the earphones directly into the iPod, I have full sterio sound. I'm pretty sure that this is not supposed to happen.
Has anyone had troubles with audiocubes?
TIA.

Well it's not audio cubes fault, just some contact problems with the headphones. Call up audio cubes and let them know.

You think the "idling" is a contact problem, too?

Well, those that have EX71s, when you have them plugged in, but no music playing, do you hear anything?

you may not have the extension cable plugged in correctly. it takes a big push to get in the plug completely and thus get the left side. It looks like ur gonna break the connection or something, but you do have use some brute force!
