I have never been a fan of Apple but I did like how sleek all the products they made were. Ive been reading this site for a couple months now and finnally decided to bite the bullet. Mainly because I stupidly tripped when running and crushed my MPIO. I needed a new mp3 player and the ipod fit the bill. Though I have not been able to test it on running as I caused a stress fracture when I tripped.

So I got the 15gb G3. The box was very cool and when I got home I was just shocked at the size of the thing. First thing I noticed was the case which was worthless for excercising or going out. I had to take it out to make song changes etc. Ordered an Exo and also a Maynare sports convertible for the gym. Both have not come in yet so I cant comment on them.

I have a PC and while I agree the software is plain ugly it servers its purposes and easily synchs my ipod with my mp3 collection. Firewire is fast. I never really read up much on it. I knew it was faster then USB 2.0 but I didnt know the exact speed. Jeese 3gb in 4min. Scary. Which brings the first problem. How to fill the #### thing. Its almost as if its mocking me. I wasnt even able to get it below the 10gb mark.

However I must warn that the ipod is a money trap! I figured out how it works. The ipod is something you want to take everywhere and in order to do this you need accessories. For work I needed another docking station so it will play all day and of course the better sound I get from the line out.

Then its the car. I cant believe I just blew 400 dollars upgrading my stereo so I can easily hookup the Ipod through the belkin into an AUX connection.

However for some reason it seems all worth it.

I dont understand why people complain so much when they buy a product and it just happens to be defective. Look get over it. Its #@$#$ life. Apple is a major brand, they are not some seedy guy on the corner of the street. They are not out to screw you. If it doesnt work its because statisticly there is always a defective one made. Just like statisticly there are people like you who are born with a stick up thier !@#. Ok my piece is done.
