Ipod Saves the Day

So on Saturday my sister In-Law had a Birthday party at our house (her house too) and everything was going according to plans, but then all her people are big rockheads and all they had was rock music to listen to, and they started getting restless and wanting to dance but noone has dance music, so the look to the ONE for some good "groove" music, so i pull out good ole' "billy" attached the audio out/in to the ipod and the system, slapped on some Chemical Brothers....and mixed it up all night. Since we did not have any dj equipment or anything I improvised. Everytim a song almost finished i lowered the vloume bit by bit (to make it sound natural) and got the next song ready, played it and cranked it up, it flowed so good. everyone was happy, i showed off my impressive "dj" Moves (if you even want to call it that) and everyone was having the time of their lives...and In conclusion, the Ipod can not only make you happy, but can make those around you even happier...:D

yeah i have an ipod saving the day story!

so anyhow i was helping my friend mix sound and lights for our middle school talent show. (yes i'm a little kid) The only problem was that my friend forgot something...a flashlight! We were mixing from the audience so there were no lights. Buuuut ALA i whip out my ipod, set the backlight to stay on always, and we mix sound in its warming blue glow.

@neo7288:
i?m planning to use my ipod for a party, too. how did you mix the end of one song into the beginning of another? or do you have the new ipod with playlists on the go?

well what i did was kinda silly but it worked.....
i just let a song play, and when i knew that it was going to end soon, i started to lower the volume gradually to make it sound like a natural fade, but while i lowered the song i searched for the next one, and when the volume got really low i let the next song play and cranked it up again.....(way before the new 2.0.1 update so i didnt have queing) but i think you can probably do the same thing now except you wouldnt have to wait till the one thats playing is done to look for the next one you could just queue up all the songs you want and then just fade it with the volume...well atleast i thought it was a pretty good idea
