Macmall cancelled my order! Woe is me
I ordered the $269 20gb yesterday and had hopes that I got one before they all disappeared. But on my ordered status it said, BACKORDERED." Then today, "CANCELLED."
I guess I will look into a refurbished unit from Apple. Needless to say I'm quite upset, since those are $30 more in addition to not being "new."
If those go away I don't know what I'll do. Please don't make me buy a Zen!

While I don't currently know of other places that have them for $270, you might be able to find a new one at your local Best Buy for $299. Compusa auctions also has a bunch up there right now of various sizes with the auctions ending on the 15th. The one that I looked at yesterday was listed as used (5gb model) but there are a bunch and a deal might be had. I also picked up some 10gb ones at Target for $100 a couple weeks back and someone reported on another forum that he picked one up a day or so ago at that price. I sold two 10gb on ebay and purchased my 20gb from Best Buy at $299 with the profits

I ordered one from Amazon for $290 -- this included a bunch of gift certificates and credits. They seem to go in and out of stock quickly, so we'll see if my order actually goes through this time..
