Perhaps... Depends on the price, and the process (I wouldn't want to ship my iPod anywhere for it, it would have to be done while I waited somewhere).

Well, as an IPOD owner, I know the feeling of not having my IPOD very close by. The process I was thinking about was...
Shipping will need to be fast and safe- So I would go with USPS Priority w/ confirmation. I'll tell you why- the price. It would cost exactly $4.85 to ship anywhere in the US. I have close to 300 positive feed backs on Ebay- I use USPS for at least 80% of shipping> never had a problem.
Another point- I've run a business before- A computer consulting company, actually. My background is in Business, but I'm a techie. I have the know how, the passion and the drive to make this work. I have a service I can provide the masses at a price that is a good deal.
I have yet to decide on the method of engraving. I know for sure, I will not remove the cover. The IPOD will sit in the middle of the engraving machine as a whole. If we go to a mechanical engraving machine, the cutter will not apply great pressure while engraving. This will prevent not engraving too deep into the cover or dent it. Of course, I will engrave all the ipods we have in my family and post them on the web site.
I plan to have a web cam aimed at the machine so clients can log in and watch. I will also email pics after the engraving prior to shipping.
That's all for now.
:)

well...the only way you can draw pics on the ipod is using a laser engraver. The table top version runs about 15 g's. How about this- instead of engraving a picture , buy a vinyl sticker of it and adhere it to the ipod. It's safe, cheap, and you can change it as often as you like! :D

Dude, do you really think you need an ipod to get girls? I guess if you're into teens, maybe. :) . This ipod is no Corvette, mind you- maybe that's what you need. Dumb shallow chicks are better than none, huh?
