It's no secret that people are having problems creating H.264 videos using free encoders. For now, people are fine with encoding to MPEG-4 (ASP) but we'd like to get to the bottom of why user encoded H.264 videos don't work and the add working support into Videora iPod Converter.This...

I found out how to get Handbrake to work with the 5G iPod. Follow the previously posted instructions, but don't change the codec. Leave it on MPEG-4 Video / AAC Audio. I did this and it worked.

Just wondered what the avg. time was to convert a VOB file from a DVD into an mp4 file using the iPod Converter by Videora? Last night I converted the Coldplay Live 2003 DVD and it took about an hour. Does that seem right? Seems a tad long to me, but if that's the norm, I'm ok with it.
Has anyone succesfully transferred their converted videos to the new ipod? If so could you please list out the settings and program you used to do it. Thanks.
